Last week, I had the opportunity to go down south and visit one of our churches in Bari. It was a great experience and I got to meet many of the families that are involved with the Lord’s work there. For me it was very exciting to see the Lord working in various avenues through his faithful servants at Bari. On Wednesday of last week, there was a youth conference in a small town outside of Bari. It was so exciting to go and be with hundreds of other young Italians and worship together. The conference was comparable to a Christ in Youth conference, but this was led by Italians. It really opened my eyes to the work that the Spirit is doing in Italy and gave me hope that one day something like this might spring up in the northern regions of Italy. At the church in Bari, I had a great opportunity to do some teaching while I was there as well as help with the worship service on Sunday. The week was a great stretch for me (linguistically) and one that I will look back on with gladness as a time when God used his church to deeply minister to me in ways that they may be unaware. This weekend, we are having our Thanksgiving Outreach, which is a time when we invite all the Italians we know to come and experience a thanksgiving dinner. There is a lot of curiosity about this holiday because many see this dinner celebrated in films, so now, they are able to come and experience one firsthand.

Please be in prayer this week for:

  • Our thanksgiving outreach – that the Lord will bring many in contact with us and more relationships will be developed
  • The church in Bari – that they will continue carrying the banner of Faith as an example to the rest of us and that the Lord will continue to add to their number!
  • Our team’s language skills and intimacy with Christ
