“Something’s happening…” is a common refrain that you might hear around our team as we share stories with one another about ‘random’ people that we run in to or ‘coincidental’ relationships that are developing. This “something” I believe, is the Spirit of God moving on ahead of us through the city, nudging our team, out beyond our comfort zones and our age groups into arenas and relational networks that only continues to thrust us to our knees. Our retreat up north was a refreshing and renewing time spent in prayer and worship; earnestly seeking what dreams God has for this city and how these dreams can become reality. I feel like I am just beginning to scratch the surface of the power of prayer. We were challenged at the retreat to ask ourselves the following question: “If all your prayers were answered, how far would the kingdom of God advance?” Since we have been praying in this direction, God has been opening up opportunities for me (and other team members) to step into the lives of those that I normally would not have the chance to—whether it’s with curious local catholic priests, or talented musicians who are wanting to play at our coffee house, or with friends from other Abrahamic faiths about things that matter—God has made it clear to me that His dreams are wanting to become a reality here in this city and that if I venture to leave my front door in the morning, I suddenly find that “we ain’t in Kansas anymore.” I believe that there is a long road ahead of us still yet to journey, but recently I have been getting a glimpse of that which is to come. So I ask you, today, on behalf of the team: Ask our Father to continue to let that kingdom of His, come in Ancona as it is in Heaven.

“The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let those who hear say, “Come!” Let those who are thirsty come; and let all who wish take the free gift of the water of life.” (Revelation 22:17)
