A UPS man rang my doorbell this morning and handed me an express envelope. I ran that plastic stick across the screen, like I did as a kid playing the magnetic Wooly Willy game, signing for the arrival. I came back inside and ripped it open to find inside a packet of paper tickets for an airplane ride from Ancona Italy to Des Moines Iowa. Things like this are beginning to make me acutely aware that my time here in Italy is drawing to a close—that is, in roughly 90 days! I will be arriving in the States on June 1st, 2007 and will be returning to Italy on January 8th, 2008. My stomach churns as I type this because the mere thought of moving makes me ill. There’s too many things to think about and for which to prepare! But what I am looking forward to is getting a chance to see you during my time back in the States! I will be traveling quite a bit during these months, but I want to make sure that I get to see you during that time! I don’t have a schedule hammered out yet, but am in the process of doing so. I think around August or thereafter, I will be venturing out to do presentations and whatnot, so we should get together when I come through town! There are a lot of exciting things that God is doing here in Ancona and it makes me hesitant to leave, but I would continue to solicit your prayers for the harvest! Please pray that I would be able to balance preparing for “home” service with finishing strong on this first term here in Italy.
