Well, this is it… My last week in Ancona has arrived! I have a few things to wrap up here and a few more outings with some friends, but for the most part, I’m ready to come back to the States! Last Friday, we had our Coffeehouse for the month of May. We were blessed to have a friend of mine, Marco Poeta, come out to play his Portuguese guitar. It was our first coffeehouse that had an overt theme of Christian spirituality to it. In the second half of the concert, Marco sang some songs he had written which were inspired by the poetry/writings of Thomas Merton, which proclaimed the immense love of God. It was a very surreal evening because Marco is used to playing for much larger crowds (his concerts in the opera house have sold out every time!). For those of you who are more internet savvy, you can watch some of the videos from this concert by looking up “Marco Poeta” on www.youtube.com

Order your book today!I also wanted to remind you (if you haven’t already) to go visit www.joshfurnal.com and secure your copy of my book, Bywords. It’s due out sometime in the next week or two. The site has been updated with a link which enables you to read a portion of the book. Feel free to tell your friends about the book! I would ask for your prayers during this time of transition. These last few weeks, God has really opened my eyes to the impact he has made through me to my friends. There’s something about saying “Goodbye” that really brings out things that we’ve left unsaid or assumed. Please be praying this week that I might get to speak to them about the love of Christ and that they would take it to heart. As I pack my bags this week, I am reassured that the Spirit continues to advance the sway of our loving Father here in Ancona.
